After 25 years as an Associate, a Partner, and the Assistant Managing Partner of the leading regional law firm, I am pleased to announce the opening of Jon Sarra Law PLLC. We are a boutique law firm specializing in Estate Planning, Real Estate, and Business Law. Our goal is to provide clients with a results driven, personalized, and practical approach to legal services while emphasizing responsiveness and efficiency.

I counsel businesses and individuals in all aspects of estate and tax planning, estate and trust administration, business succession planning, general business and corporate matters, and residential and commercial real estate transactions. I work with individuals, families, and business owners to devise and implement custom estate plans through wills, trusts, and other planning vehicles. I also work closely with high net worth individuals to develop state and federal estate tax planning and asset protection strategies. I regularly work with clients and their investment advisors, bank trust departments, insurance agents, and accountants to ensure that the plan meets with the long term objectives of the client. I also counsel both fiduciaries and beneficiaries with respect to the administration of trusts and estates. I routinely work with commercial lenders and corporate clients on financing transactions, commercial leasing, and real property purchases and sales.

Upon my return to Greater Binghamton after graduating from law school, I became engaged in my community and have served in leadership roles with several community organizations over the past 25 years. I served as Co-President of Oak Hill Avenue Improvement Corporation (Little Italy Endicott) and President of the Endicott Performing Arts Center Board of Directors. I served as Chair of the United Health Services (UHS)Foundation Board and as Board Member of The Community Foundation for South Central New York. Over the past 20 years, I have served in various leadership capacities with the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce, and served as Board Chair from 2022-2024. I was a 1993 Graduate of Seton Catholic Central High School and continue to be a proud supporter of Catholic Education. I served on the Board of Directors of the Catholic Schools of Broome County, and served as Chair from 2020-2023. I continue to serve on the Catholic Schools of Broome County Foundation.

I was a 1997 graduate of College of the Holy Cross and received my JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2000.
